• Using 100% Japanese Black Tea - We have carefully selected "Benifuuki" Japanese tea leaves, a black tea cultivar which is grown in Kagoshima Prefecture for this Sakura Black Tea, or Cherry Blossom tea. Japanese black tea is rare in Japan, as the country focuses predominately on high quality green tea production. As a result, around 80% of Japanese tea plantations are focused on green tea production, making japanese black tea loose leaf extremely scarse. We have used the 1st harvested of japanese black tea loose leaf, which has been carefully aged for 1 year to create the ideal fermentation of the loose leaf black tea
• Blend of Natural and Pickled Sakura Leaves - We have carefully selected the best edible sakura leaves, or cherry blossom leaves from Shizuoka Prefecture, an area renowned for its charry blossom blooms. By blending edible and pickled sakura leaves with Japanese black loose tea, it produces a natural floral scent with a fruity flavor from the black tea, creating a harmonious floral black tea and sakura tea
