WHAT IS AN OLEORESIN? The “oleo”, or oil, component refers to the essential oil of cinnamon, which delivers the highly aromatic and fiery heat found in the volatile compounds of cinnamon. The “resin” component provides a complex, earthy balance with its non-volatile flavor compounds, lending both nuance and depth of flavor. Together, these exceptional natural ingredients capture and convey the full flavor spectrum of cinnamon in a way that has yet to be accomplished in syrups.
